    Day 170

All 9th-11th students turn in Silver Cord hours to Ms. Martin by Next Friday.

Congratulations to Alexis Houge on earning an 8th place medal in the 400 meter dash at the state track meet last night.  She ran her 400 in 1:00.35, a new CM Spartan school record!!

Alexis also finished in 10th place in the 100 meter dash, running a 12.99, just missing another state medal by .03 of a second.

The shuttle hurdle team was warmed up and ready to go, but didn't get a chance to compete as the state meet was delayed and finally postponed due to the lightning storm that rolled through Des Moines.  They will now get a chance to run their race on Saturday at 11:50.

Nathaniel Hugger from the Navy will be here Friday May 24th during 11:00-11:30. If you would like to hear more about the Navy please sign up in the main office.

With the end of the year coming up I want to remind all of the high school students of the expectations for finals.  Each student must be here for the duration of the class during any finals they have.  All students will have open campus for any period they do not have a class scheduled and during lunch unless the following criteria is not met.

    1. They have detentions to serve.

    2. They are failing classes.

If the students fall under either criteria above they will need to stay at the school for all periods of the day and lunch.

    Hats Off To Summer!

With the final days of school approaching, the high school student council is bringing back "Hats off to Summer." Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, before school begins in the main lobby, students can exchange 50 cents for a sticker that allows them the privilege to wear their hat for that day! All money made on this fundraiser will go into next year's homecoming festivities!
