Preschool Information

Program Specifications:

Calendar Dates:

  • August – May (aligns with school calendar)
  • Program will be cancelled for the day if school is cancelled.
  • If there is an early dismissal due to dangrous weather conditions, PM preschool will be cancelled for the day.
  • On days when there is a late start due to weather conditions, there will be no AM preschool.
  • Missed preschool days due to weather will be made up as scheduled by the preschool teacher.  The make-up session will occur on a Wednesday or added to the end of the school year.

Time:

  • Monday – Thursday,
    • AM Session: 8:30 – 11:30 
    • PM Session: 12:20 - 3:20
  • Students may arrive no earlier than 8:20 AM & 12:10. 

Monthly Cost:

  • Free tuition for students taking part in the 4-year old preschool program.  (Must turn 4 on or before September 15 of current school year)
  • Students turning 4 on or before January 1 of the following year but after September 15 are eligble for our 3-year old tuition based preschool program
    • ​Cost is $200.00 per month for 3-year-old students for the duration of the school year.

Registration/Supplies Fee:

  • $50.00 total ($20.00 registration/$30.00 supply fee) payable by August 1 at the superintendent's office in Maxwell.
  • The teacher will make daily snack arrangements.

Transportation:

  • Parents are to provide transportation to and from the program.

Other Information:

  • Students must be four years old by September 15 and potty trained unless
    an exception is made through an IEP.
  • Enrollment will be limited to 20 students per section. There is a morning and an afternoon section.
  • The preschool is located at Collins-Maxwell Elementary.

    ********** C-M Leo's Food Pantry Stocking Stuffers ********

    Blake Huntrods is doing a 4-H citizenship project for the Collins-Maxwell Leo's Food Pantry. He would like to receive some donations for the age groups below and assemble the stockings for the kids within the Collins-Maxwell School District. If you would like to donate, drop off items at Toot's Cuttin Parlor, the School Offices, or with Blake Huntrods.     Attention any 9-12th graders interested in DMACC. They will be on campus December 12th from 2:15-3:00 located in the Commons. 

     

    ESPORTS FIELD TRIP RESCHEDULED

    Due to a conflict the Esports field trip will now be on December 3rd. 

     

    Esports Club Members stop in the library this week to pick up a permission form for the field trip to Grandview. You will also need to have your teachers fill out the assignment sheet for the classes you will miss during the field trip. We will return to school by 11:15 on the 14th. Permission forms are due to Mrs. Goering by the 7th. 

     

    Students and Parents: Spring Registration for DMACC courses is starting now. For the students that are taking courses please come see Ms. Martin. An email has been sent to all 9-12th graders. 

     

    PBIS Store for 10th-12th Grade Students:

    10-12th Grade students can receive PBIS points in the form of the tickets. Each ticket a student receives counts as 10 points in the store. You need to have the tickets with you when you come to the store. 

     

    Graduation orders from Jostens:  Please send these directly to Jostens at the contact information listed on the order form.  Do not return these to the school.

    Counselor Corner:

    The Food Pantry needs your help. We are looking for volunteers to help set up and pass out food on these days. HS students, this would be a great time to receive Silver Cord hours. Teams and clubs are welcome to help as well. 

     

    Food Pantry Hours: 3:30-6:00 (2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month)

    Set up starts at 3:00 and usually takes about 20 minutes.
